PROGRAM AND ACTIVITIES
1. COORDINATION Intensive
coordination and communication are to be developed with the Ar-Raniri
IAIN through establishing “Information and a.
to
coordinate fund raising and to distribute financial assistances to the victims,
especially those from the academic staff of the Ar-Raniri
IAIN, b.
to
coordinate the tasks of volunteers, both from inside and outside the Ar-Raniri IAIN, c.
to coordinate the development of recovery measures of the disaster’s
aftermath with related institutions in Aceh. d.
to collect data about the victims and destroyed buildings. e.
To
communicate the development of the recovery. 2. EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE This aims at preparing emergency assistances for lecturers,
administration staff, and students of the Ar-Raniri
IAIN of Banda Aceh through “Information and Aid
Center”. The emergency assistances will be given through the followings: a.
to
provide operational support for the Information and b.
to
provide temporary accommodation c.
to
provide shared kitchen d.
to
provide generator set for electricity e.
to
provide logistics f.
to
help lecturers, staff and students to have attention from national and international aid programs. g.
to
administer the salary of the lecturers and administration staff h.
to
provide necessary guidance In addition to manage emergency assistance for academic staff, the
program will also provide similar activities for other communities of madrasahs and mosques. 3. RESUMING INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES The program will take necessary measures to resume instructional
activities enabling the lecturers and the administration staff to do their jobs
and allowing the students to have their rights for education, despite emergency
state. The activities include the followings: a.

set up special team for a quick data collection about the victims and the damages of instructional facilities
in detail. b.
to consult to c.
To
provide emergency offices with minimum facilities for the rector and the deans
to support planning and organizing alternative instructional process. d.
to provide alternative rooms or facilities for the instructional
process, including the possibility of establishing cooperation with e.
to provide temporary housing for lecturers, administration staff and
students. f.
to
establish cooperation with the IAIN of Medan to
empowering instructional activities of the lecturers and the students of the Ar-Raniri IAIN who leave Aceh
temporarily. g.
to
mobilize temporary volunteers to become lecturers and administration staff,
both from Islamic higher educational institutions and NGOs. h.
to
strive for budgeting and the implementation of temporary renovation of the
offices, rooms, and other facilities. i.
to
mobilize book donation and the possibility of inter-library loan from other
Islamic higher educational institutions and NGOs. j.
to
strive for gaining soft loan to rehabilitate the houses of the lectures and administration
staff. k.
to
provide scholarships or soft loan for the students to pay their tuition fees. 4. REHABILITATION a. Physical rehabilitation 1)

empowerment trainings in conflict areas 5. RECONSTRUCTION The great attention from donor institutions is highly beneficial to
reconstruct the Ar-Raniri IAIN. The program will take
advantages of the attention to set up development concepts in order to gain
wider mandate to reconstruct Aceh’s civilians with
the following steps: a. Strategic Plan A strategic plan is essential to decide several things as the base of
the future reestablishment of the Ar-Raniry IAIN. The
strategic plan is designed to: 1)
decide
the existing prosperities which need necessary rehabilitation and improvement. 2)
decide
additional programs whose facilities should be provided within the campus. 3)
decide
the future excellences of the Ar-Raniri IAIN. 4)
decide
the necessities of standardized facilities, such as library, computer and
information technology centers, etc. 5)
decide
service program for the students who need assistantship. b. Campus Designing This will involve management, expert, and consultant to translate the
stipulations of the strategic plan into a blueprint of physical reconstruction
of the Ar-Raniry IAIN. c. Instructional Designing This will involve management, expert, and consultant to translate the
stipulations of the strategic plan into a blueprint of the future education of
the Ar-Raniri IAIN. |
