The Directorate of Islamic Higher Education
(DOIHE) is one of four directorates in the Directorate General of
Islamic Higher Education Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The DOIHE is a facilitator and coordinator
of the Islamic Higher Education Institution supervised by the Ministry
of Religious Affairs. The activities of DOIHE are: a) academic and
student affairs. b) Personnel, c) Library and scholarship, d)
Cooperation and institution, e) Scientific Research Publication and
community services

Enhancing the graduate quality of
lecturers, students, and academic culture of Islamic Higher Educational
Institution in Indonesia.
C. MISSION STATEMENT
Facilitating and empowering Islamic Higher
Educational Institution through programs which cover a) academic and
student affairs, b) Personnel, c) Library Grant and Scholarship, d)
Cooperation and Institution, and e) Scientific Research Publication and
Community Services.

The Directorate of Islamic Higher Education
facilities and coordinates more than 500 Islamic Higher Educational
Institutions in Indonesia which are classified into:

These Study Programs are categorized into
two main groups, namely: Islamic Studies (Ushuluddin, Tarbiyah,
Dakwah, Adab) and General Studies (Medical, Psychology, Economics,
Science, and Technology, Social Humanity and Science)
All of these Islamic Higher Educational
Institutions are under a network coordinated by the DOIHE, Ministry of
Religious Affairs. This fact reflects the strategic position of the
DOIHE in higher educational environment in Indonesia. Besides, the
Islamic Higher Educational Institution has also comparative advantages
on a lower tuition fee and humane Islamic nuance. Having a network
spreading out to all of Indonesian areas which are plural in economy,
social culture and ethnic, the DOIHE is an important partner for
government and non-government organizations, both national and
international.
E. Management
The tasks of the DOIHE are to serve and
develop Islamic Higher Education based on technical policies that have
been made by the Director General of Islamic Education.
To accomplish its tasks, the DOIHE
functions in:

formulating the vision, mission of
statement and policy of Islamic Higher Education

formulating national standard and
establishing Islamic Higher Educations which cover academic and
student affairs, partnership and institution, educational personnel,
research, public services, scientific publication, library, and
grant and scholarship

implementing technical policies on
Islamic Higher Education

implementing as technical institution
and educational evaluation at Islamic Higher Education
-
implementing administration and
household affairs at the DOIHE

Sub-directorate of Academic and Student Affairs
The tasks of Sub-directorate of Academic
and Student Affairs are to develop and serve in formulating the plan of
Islamic Higher Education Academic and Student Affairs based on programs
and objectives which have been determined by the Director of DOIHE.
In carrying out its tasks, the
Sub-directorate of Academic and Student Affairs functions in:
-
collecting, processing, and analyzing
data of academic and student affairs;
-
preparing the material building for
implementing the requirements of program studies and qualified
education;
-
managing the supervision and evaluation
to the implementation of Islamic Higher Education.

Sub-directorate of Personnel
The tasks of Sub-directorate of Personnel
are to establish and serve the implementation of need formulation and
the development of academic personnel based on the objectives, programs,
and activities that have been determined by the Director of DOIHE.
In carrying out its tasks, the
Sub-directorate of Personnel functions in:
-
collecting and analyzing personnel
data;
-
preparing the plan material of academic
personnel and Islamic educational institution needs at General
Higher Educational institutions;
-
preparing the material, building and
technical guidance on academic personnel development.
-
evaluating the academic personnel of
Islamic Higher Educational Institutions.

Sub-directorate of Library, Grant and Scholarship
The tasks of Sub-directorate of Library,
Grant and Scholarship are to serve and develop need assessment of
libraries, grants and scholarship based on the objectives, programs and
activities which have been determined by the Director.
In carrying out its task, the of
Sub-directorate of Library, Grant and Scholarship functions in:

preparing a plan for developing
libraries in the Islamic Higher Educational Institutions;
-
preparing the implementation of
facilities standardization and utilizing grant on Islamic Higher
Educational Institutions;
-
preparing the implementation material
for developing the educational quality and scholarship evaluation at
Islamic Higher Educational Institutions.

Sub-directorate of Cooperation and Institutions
The tasks of Sub-directorate of Cooperation
and Institutions are to serve and develop a formulation of educational
cooperation with national and international institutions and
organizations based on the objectives, programs, and activities that
have been determined by the Director.
In carrying out its tasks, the
Sub-directorate of Cooperation and Institutions functions in:

formulating
international cooperation on Islamic Higher Educational Institutions;
-
ormulating
national cooperation on Islamic Higher Educational Institutions;
-
formulating
institutions development plan.
5. Sub-directorate of Research, Scientific
Publication and Community Services
The tasks of Sub-directorate of Research,
Scientific Publication and Community Services are to develop and serve a
research formulation, scientific publication and community services
based on the objectives, programs, and activities that have been
determined by the Director.
In carrying out its task, the
Sub-directorate of Research, Scientific Publication and Community
Services functions in:

preparing a plan of research activity
materials and scientific study on Islamic Higher Educational
Institutions;
-
preparing a plan for community services
and serviced villages of Islamic Higher Educational Institutions.
6. Sub-division of Administrations
The tasks of Sub-division of
Administrations are to serve and administer household affairs.
